From case cover:<br/>Em 1974, Jorge Bodanzky, Orlando Senna e Wolf Gauer lançaram um filme que se revelaria uma pequena obra-prima do cinema brasileiro: Iracema, uma transa amazônica. Em contraste com a propaganda oficial da ditadura, que alardeava a construção da Transamazônica como símbolo do desenvolvimento do país, uma câmera sensível flagrava os problemas que a estrada traria para a região: desmatamento, queimadas, trabalho escravo, prostituição infantil. Alternando documentário e ficção, o filme narra a histõria da jovem Iracema e do motorista Tião Brasil Grande, emblemática da realidade brasileira. Iracema permaneceu proibido pela censura durante seis anos. Nesse período, ganhou prêmios em festivais internacionais e, em 1980, quando liberado, foi o grande vencedor do Festival de Brasília.<br/><br/> |
