From case cover:<br/>Verano de 1928. Primeras horas de la mañana. Un Túnel... Varios hombres sudorosos se arratran en la penumbra en busca del dinal de la fosa. Pero los cálculos fallan y el boquete terroso que los conduce a la ansiada libertad se abre, absuradamente, en el medio de un negocio de venta de carbón y leña, en plena Buenos aires, atentdido por un matrimonio de españoles. Cuando la azorada pareja que atiende la carbonería ve emerger de las entrañas de la tierra la cabez de un hombre que viste un traje a raya horizontales amarillas y azules, seguidos por otros vestidos de igual modo, comprende que aquel agujero es el final del túnel que atraviesa la calle y llega desde el edificio de la Penitenciaria Nacional que esta enfrente. A partir de este momento, el film cuenta la suerte dispar de cada uno de estos evadidos en busca de sus destinos. Ellos son un anarquista, un estafador, tres asesinos, un timador de naipes y un inocente. Son hombres duros, con códigos propios, dispuestos a todo con tal de no regresar a prisión. Sus odiseas y desventuras, narradas en tiempos paralelos, relatan como algunos son apresados o mueren de muerte violenta, en tanto otros logran engañar a la impecable pesquisa que les sigue el rastro, y desaparecen para siempre. Historias sórdidas y conmovedoras, que no excluyen la ternura y el amor, la piedad o el espanto. Un final sellado con un pacto de amor carcelario que permanecerá en el corazón de Buenos Aires como testimonio de la ansiada libertad.<br/><br/>From IMDB:<br/>In the summer of 1928, several inmates from the National Penitentiary in Buenos Aires managed to escape.
