From cover:<br/><br/>España. Verano de 1936. El célebre escritor miguel de Unamuno decide apoyar públicamente la rebelión militar que promete traer orden a la convulsa situación del país. Inmediatamente es destituido por el gobierno republicano como rector de la Universidad de Salamanca. Mientras tanto, el general Franco consigue sumar sus tropas al frente sublevado e inicia una exitosa campaña con la secreta esperanza de hacerse con el mando único de guerra. La deriva sangrienta del conflicto y el encarcelamiento de algunos de sus compañeros hacen que Unamuno empiece a cuestionar su postura inicial y a sopesar sus pricipos. Cuando Franco traslada su cuartel a Salamanca y e nombrado jefe del Estado de la zona nacional, Unamuno acudirá a su palacio, decidido a hacerle una petición de clemencia. |

He was immediately dismissed by the republican government as rector of the University of Salamanca. Meanwhile, General Franco manages to add his troops to the rebellious front and starts a successful campaign with the secret hope of taking sole command of the war. The bloody drift of the conflict and the imprisonment of some of his companions make Unamuno begin to question his initial position and to weigh his pricipos. When Franco moved his barracks to Salamanca and was appointed head of the national zone, Unamuno went to his palace, determined to make a plea for mercy. |
