Julio de 1938. El lugar, España. Los personajes, los hombre y las mujeres de la tierra española. Está a puto de levantarse el telón para representar una gran tragedia. Federico siente ya en su corazón esa tormenta que está a punto de estallar. "Estos campos se van a llenar de muertos". No sabe aún que él va a ser uno de ellos. Federico tiene entonces 38 años. Está en la cumbre de su talento y de su fama. No es un mariquita moreno y lírico, un poeta ligero y superficial, como la malevolencia reaccionaria quiere presentar. Es un artista comprometido, hasta su más radical esencia, con su pueblo y con su tiempo, ese pueblo con el cual "ríe y llora", y por el que está dispuesto a admitir su propio sacrificio a cambio de la "justicia para todos". No en vano cuando era adolescente había escrito que "la verdadera patria es la patria del amor y la igualdad".<br/>El crimen fue en Granada, en su Granada. Federico García Lorca fue asesinado el 19 de agosto de 1936, un mes después que se incendiase España con la guerra civil no lejos de su pequeño pueblo natal, donde había visto la luz 38 años antes.<br/>En ese limpio amanecer "se le vio caminar entre fusiles. Pero ni siquiera la muerte pudo callar su voz. |

Federico feels deep in his heart that a storm is about to unfold. "All this land will be filled with dead bodies". He doesn't know he will be one of them. Federico is 38 years old.
