From case cover:
Antoine, a print shop foreman, and his young beautiful wife Antoinette, a photo-mat clerk in a French equivalent of a five and dime, lead a passionate but querulous life together in their cold water Parisian flat. She's a vivacious flirt that steals the heart of not only the couple's next door neighbor, but a lecherous local grocer as well. He's a suspicious hot head who becomes jealous of Antoinette's unsolicited attentions. The couple;s frustrations - with each other and with the restrictions placed on them on them by working class life -erupt when the licentious grocer tries to exploit the pairs shaky financials situation by offering Antoinette a "job" in his shop. To make matters worse, Antoine loses the couples key to better life: winning lottery ticket that worth a fortune.
