Today the father lives alone in the same house he shared with his children. Memories crowd and, faced with tremendous loneliness, he decides, in agreement with the godfather, to go live for a short time with each of his children, most of them married. Some are single, but live independently, like Crispulo, Maria, Chencho, who is in New York. But the experience doesn't work out, because the children, not all of them, have changed, and then the daughters-in-law, the sons-in-law, the grandchildren, make Carlos, the father, see that those children for whom he lived, worked and suffered, already they are not the same. That is why he decides to live in a nursing home, in which his daughter Carlota, who took the habits of a nun, provides her services, but Carlota tells him that place is not for him, it is for those who have no family, and he He has sixteen children... And his children come to the residence, and among all of them they dispute to have him back in their homes, asking his forgiveness for not having been able to understand him. But Carlos, whole, full of humanity, thanks them for everything they have done for him, and gives them the photograph in which they are all together, telling them that this is the only thing he had left when they left him, and now he wants that each one has a photograph at home for a season, to remind them that they have been a GREAT FAMILY.


Todo comenzó hace veinte años con "La Gran Familia", luego vino "La familia y uno más", ahora esos dieciséis niños se han reunido en "La famila ben, gracias", para rendir homenaje de amor al padre de la numerosa familia en con motivo de su retiro. Y como no, el padrino ha elaborado una espléndida tarta que todos comerán al final de la gran celebración.

Hoy el padre vive solo en la misma casa que compartía con sus hijos. Los recuerdos se agolpan y, ante una tremenda soledad, decide, de acuerdo con el padrino, irse a vivir por un corto tiempo con cada uno de sus hijos, la mayoría casados. Algunos son solteros, pero viven de forma independiente, como Crispulo, María, Chencho, que está en Nueva York. Pero la experiencia no funciona, porque los hijos, no todos, han cambiado, y entonces las nueras, los yernos, los nietos, hacen que Carlos, el padre, vea que esos hijos por quien vivió, trabajó y sufrió, ya no son lo mismo. Por eso decide vivir en un asilo de ancianos, en el que presta sus servicios su hija Carlota, que tomó los hábitos de monja, pero Carlota le dice que ese lugar no es para él, es para los que no tienen familia. y él tiene dieciséis hijos... Y sus hijos llegan a la residencia, y entre todos se disputan tenerlo de vuelta en sus casas, pidiéndole perdón por no haberlo podido entender. Pero Carlos, entero, lleno de humanidad, les agradece todo lo que han hecho por él, y les entrega la fotografía en la que están todos juntos, diciéndoles que esto es lo único que le quedaba cuando lo dejaron, y ahora él quiere que cada uno tenga una fotografía en casa durante una temporada, para recordarles que han sido una GRAN FAMILIA.
