This charming and bittersweet fantasy, based on a short story by H.G. Wells, is also the last film by French director Marcel Carne (Children of Paradise, Le Jour Se Leve).

An angel falls from the shy and is found unconcious by a priest and his assistant. They nurse him back to health but the naive young angel causes problems for them both when he strays into the local village where his curious behavior is greatly misunderstood.
