El doctor Denis es el médico encargado de una de las salas de un hospital psiquiátrico. De improviso aparece en el lugar un joven que dice llamarse Rantés y provenir de otro planeta. El médico supone que este individuo es un farsante.
Ante la insistencia del joven, el doctor concluye que se trata de un paranoico delirante, salvo por algunos hechos inquietantes, de lo que el espectador comienza a ser testigo.
