Summary: From Case Cover: Moving melodrama and comedy come together as families intertwine and worlds collide in Schwartz Dynasty. In a family of famous rabbis, Miriam Schwartz's life falls apart after her husband, the head of a religious council, commits suicide in the wake of a financial scandal. As an act of devotion, she's determined to be buried at his side is a section of the cemetary for those who have taken their own lives. In the maze of religious bureaucracy, Miriam meets Anna, a beautiful RUssian immigrant who must prove that her father was a Jew in order to fulfill his wish to be buried in the holy land. In the midst of these solemn proceedings, offbeat characters pepper the story with satire. Miriam Schwartz's son "Bomba" is an endearing but umbling loser running for local political office. Miriam's grandson Avishai is a 24-year-old Orthodox Jew and a pot smoker. And don't forget Alex: a surgeon from Russia sho's now a butcher selling non-kosher meat. The ancient rabbis would be rolling in their graves ...
