Summary: From case cover: Alos 32 años, El Zapa (Jorge Román) es cerrajero en un pueblo pequeño y tranquilo de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. Su vida rutinaria transcurre lentamente entre contados trabajos de cerrajería y casi ninguna actividad adicional. Hasta que es detenido por la policía local y acusado de robo por abrir una caja fuerte a instancias del dueño de la cerrajería, un hombre al que le dicen El Polaco y que desaparece inmediatamente después del suceso. Su tío Ismael, policía retirado, logra sacarlo de la comisaría y lo manda con una carta de recomendación al Gran Buenos Aires donde El Zapa se convertirá en un joven aspirante a agente de la Policía Bonaerense. A partir de entonces, El Zapa deberá adaptarse a su nueva realidad y deberá también hacerse cargo de su propia vida. Framed and down on his luck, Zapa's miserable life will take a turn for the better, when a letter of recommendation from his uncle and former policeman, Ismael, opens a position in the Police Academy to become a corporal. During the days of his rigorous training, Zapa will also experience an irregular love affair; however, will he finally manage to take charge of his life as he works his way up in the West Buenos Aires Police Force?
